SHAMANIC FACILITATION
The Facilitation work that I offer is shamanic ceremony and journeying. One of the Shamans that I have had the privilege to study with is an Algonquin Medicine Man (Pete Bernard) who is an Algonquin from the Algonquins of Pikwàkanagàn First Nation in Golden Lake, Ontario, Canada.
There is much speculation and fear around the word “Shaman”. A shaman is described as a person regarded to have access to, and influence in, the world of benevolent and malevolent spirits, who typically enters into a trance state during a ritual, and practices divination and healing. It is, in fact, so much more – shamanism is a way of being that acknowledges that we are all part of one living organism.
The role of shaman was once highly respected and valued by traditional societies all over the world. Traditionally, a shaman would be identified by their community. I refer to myself as ‘one who practices shamanism’ leaving the title to those born into ancient bloodlines or lineages. Jesus Christ, Buddha and Muhammad are considered by many to have been great shamans.
Healing is a process of remembering who we are, releasing the past and reclaiming the parts we have lost. We are all born as healers and everyone has an innate self-healing ability. There is no room for ego or fear. The two components for healing are: 1. Show up. 2. Let go. May we find the courage to do so and heal with honesty and humility and great compassion for ourselves, for other people and for all life.
For most people, diagnosis equals certainty but shamans know that nothing is certain. Contrary to popular belief, your DNA is not set in stone. It is reset from moment to moment, like a re-writable computer disk. When we enter into the Divine Trance State we can perceive so much more, and meaningfully interact with it, heal it if need be, and claim our medicines and our lives.
The things that have happened to you are not who you are. You cannot afford your wounds any more. Affinities are the most important part of healing. Energy is not important. Information is not important. What is important is the organization of information. Wounds lead to blockages, which lead to ailments.
To achieve and maintain wellness, individuals need to regularly clear, realign and balance all their energetic bodies, to heal deep emotional wounding, genetic weaknesses and shift to higher levels of consciousness.
